Currently, as the Tourism Specialist I have the opportunity to plan or assist with planning several community-wide events throughout the year.

Run for the Roses, Kentucky Derby Party

Run for the Roses, Moberly’s Kentucky Derby Party is currently being planned. This first-year event is on May 4th at Heritage Hills Golf Course. Pictures from this event will be posted after the event.

Railroad Days

I assist with planning Moberly’s largest heritage festival, Railroad Days. This event is four days long and includes live musical entertainment, a pageant, vendors and much more.

Chamber Banquet

Our annual Chamber banquet is held in September. This event is a fundraiser for the Chamber and showcases our accomplishments throughout the year. Additionally, we plan this event for around 300 people.

Junk Junktion

Junk Junktion, is Moberly’s Vintage Market is, also, held in September, on Moberly High School’s Alumni Weekend. 2018 was the first year for this event and we had around 500 people attend for the first year.

Moberly’s Christmas Parade

Moberly’s Christmas Parade is the first event in Moberly that is the kick-off to the holiday season. This event is coordinating floats in the parade.
